So, you’re looking for something awesome to do this summer – something different, something new. Sisters Under Sail is a one-of-a-kind summer program for girls that offers so much more than your average summer camp.

"Being able to crew aboard the Denis Sullivan was definitely an honour and one of the most memorable experiences in my life.  I learned a lot of new information that I can definitely apply to my life.  It was sort of hard at first, to find my place, but I had to force myself to open up and let the small things go.  The food was amazing and I ate every meal like it was my last.  I think my other favourite thing was being on the 6:00 – 11:00 watch and being on the bow.  It was so beautiful and the wind was nice, the moon  was full and the water was hypnotic. This trip is a part of my life I will never forget."

Girls Sailing

It takes a team to sail a big tall ship. You’re part of that team – part of the crew. In a safe and non-intimidating environment, we’ll teach you everything you need to know. Our all-women crew have a passion for sailing and teaching. All that’s required of you is a willingness to try and the courage to stretch yourself.  Learn to sail a tall ship with this Just for Girls sailing program. That means you get to climb the mast rigging, steer the ship, navigate a course, set really big sails and way more!

"On this trip, I LIVED!  I used to always have my phone.  It was like my life preserver.  I had a plan to use it to talk to my friend and make myself distant, but after a couple of days, I got a solid group of friends and I had a lot of fun (even though I won’t admit it to my parents or boyfriend)!  I don’t want to lose contact with any of my new friends because they are not only my friends, they’re “family”. #SUS, #firstimesail, #monkeybread, #decksleepovers, #nomakeup"

Sisters Under Sail is more than just sailing. We are a leadership program for girls like you. Sisters and our all-women crew lets you become the leader and gives you the chance to push yourself to new heights (literally!)

"This voyage helped me to grow in awareness of my leadership abilities and of teamwork in general. The activities helped me grow in confidence, especially the charting.  I thought I wouldn’t be very good at it and it was hard at first, but after practice and fully focusing, I could do it much better and I really enjoy it now a lot.  I learned about teamwork in a surprising way:  clean the head!  I thought it would be awful, but working as a team, we actually had a ton of fun joking and working together.  I learned that I am very determined, work hard, inspire others to act by giving them encouragement and leading by example.  I really, really enjoyed this experience and will, hopefully, come back again next year!!!  I loved everything I learned.  Thank you so much !!!"

No bond is stronger than Sisterhood

We believe that no bond is stronger than sisterhood. This is a program for girls to work together, play together, learn to trust and inspire each other. Together, we can achieve the amazing (and have fun doing it!)

"Being part of an all-women crew shows me the power that a group of women have as well as the bonds that we form.  I will never forget this life-changing journey and the experiences that I've had."
