ey there Sister, now that you’re a seasoned sailor, we’d love to have you back aboard as an Alumna Intern in 2009.
- You’ll be treated as part of the crew
- Further your sailing skills
- Help teach new trainees
- Visit new ports
- Earn community services hours for your College applications
Here’s how it works….
As a past participant, you will board us on Sunday at noon before the next Sisters Under Sail passage and disembark the following Friday OR we encourage you to stay for two weeks! We will accept, on a first come, first serve basis, 2 alumnae interns each passage in our 2009 summer schedule.
Remember, this ain’t no cruise sister! You must :
- know ship terminology
- know your knots
- know your lines
- possess the confidence in that knowledge to teach your new sisters.
You will be expected to act as a role model for the new trainees. In other words…step up your game!

Space is limited to 2 interns/passage between the age of 13 - 21/passage

Is the Intern passage that you want to sail on FULL? Sometimes we do not sell-out all of the trainee berths and we hate to sail with empty bunks! Please send us an email indicating your preferred passage(s) and we’ll contact you if space is available.
